Soul Patch The Duo

Soul Patch The Duo

Soul musicians Frazer Wambeke and Luke Basile have crafted their sound from over a decade’s worth of performing together. Better known as “Fraze” and “Blaze”, the two Washington-based career musicians launched as an official duo in late 2019, after playing and recording in a variety of bands together. While they admittedly have a light schtick (in title and ethos), they take the music seriously - evident in their 2020 re-release of the Bonnie Raitt mega-balled, “I Can’t Make You Love Me”.  Fraze, an accomplished pianist and vocalist, and Blaze, a multi-instrumentalist and live looper, offer a seasoned, soul-laden live show. The two play what they call “Heart & Soul” music, drawing from the Funk, R&B, and Soul catalog of the 70’s, mixed in with original works. For palpable groove and taste for days, call on Fraze and Blaze!

Kate & The Crocodiles: Kate Morrison, a refreshing and innovative classically trained vocalist, recently performing as a guest vocalist with Pink Martini; Craig Bidondo, a colorful, energetic and soulful keyboardist; Gavin Bondy, the intuitive trumpeter of Pink Martini. The Portland-based quartet present stunning indie rock originals and covers, early jazz and jazz standards, reinventions of ‘70s and ’80s rock as ballads, classical art songs mixed with rock (yes, really), and other surprises from far and wide. If the spectrum sounds broad, it is all held together by a signature sound informed by classical training and a respectful blending of many genres. It’s like a warm conversation with a good friend. An evening with Kate & The Crocodiles has been called “A perfect combination of musical talent and intimate, unforgettable entertainment.”

Let's Be Frank

Music of the Rat Pack Era

When speaking of modern music there are few artists and music styles better known than the The Rat Pack and their swinging pop jazz! Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Dean Martin created a vast body of music together and as individual artists. And when you include the many other singers such as Judy Garland, Carmen McRae, and Doris Day, to name a few, who appeared with them you have a musical library that is hard to fathom. “Let’s Be Frank” is a new band pulling together the talents of several well-known Northwest artists. The project is driven by G. Louis Hemenway, pianist & vocalist, and includes Clairece Rosati-Hemenway, vocalist, and Clark Bondy, saxophones, flute & clarinet. The remainder of the band is made up of a rotating cast of exceptional players from Walla Walla, The Tri-Cities, Portland, Boise, and several other cities. When joining “Let’s Be Frank” for an evening of music you’ll be singing along with many popular and well-loved songs. And who knows, you may find yourself inviting your partner to hit the dance floor for a spin.
